Rett Syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder that appears to occur almost exclusively in females but can occur rarely in males. Infants and children with the disorder typically develop normally until about 7 to 18 months of age, when they may begin to lose previously acquired skills (developmental regression). Rett syndrome affects one in every 10,000 to 15,000 live female births. It occurs in all racial and ethnic groups worldwide. Young girls and women affected with Rett syndrome require maximum assistance with every aspect of daily living. Please visit our website at www.sdrett.org.
We are accepting donated items for our silent auction and raffle.
